Ayyam-i-ha or Intercalary Days [Baha’i]
Saturday, February 25, 2023
Category: Diversity and Inclusion Observances

The Ayyám-i-ha, or “Days of Ha” are devoted to spiritual preparation for the fast, celebrating, hospitality, charity, and gift-giving. They are celebrated the four days, five in a leap year, before the last month of the Bahá’í year by inserting days into the calendar in order to maintain their solar calendar.

**As noted on the Anti-Defamation League Calendar,  Bahá’í, Jewish, and Islamic holidays begin at sundown the previous day and end at sundown on the date listed.
