School Library Month - Advocacy Committee Challenge #2
School Library Month - Advocacy Committee Challenge #2
#VAASL SmallSteps25
Happy School Library Month! Every Friday throughout the month of April the VAASL Advocacy committee is issuing a #VAASL SmallSteps25 challenge to help you celebrate School Library Month as you engage in library advocacy.
Our first challenge took you to the awesome resources provided by the American Associations of School Librarians. Details about the #VAASL SmallSteps25 Campaign and Challenge #1 can be found below if you haven’t had a chance to complete it yet!
April 11: Challenge #2
Last summer the VAAL Advocacy Committee led a book study of Just Read It by Jarred Amato. The book study was a huge success and led to the publication of the VAASL Building Independent Readers one pager.
Your challenge for this week is to share the VAASL Building Independent Readers one pager with someone in your school. Report who you share it with on the #VAASL SmallSteps25 form along with at least one way you inspire students to love reading.

Every time you complete a challenge your name will be entered into a drawing for one of the VAASL #SmallSteps25 prizes.

You can do all as many of the challenges as you wish. We encourage you to report your completed challenges each time. This will give you a better chance of winning a prize!

Challenge #1
Your first challenge is to explore the AASL School Library Month website to see all the wonderful resources they created to use throughout the month.
