Intellectual Freedom

Intellectual Freedom is an important issue for school librarians at every level. As professional educators, we want our students to have access to information representing all points of view on current and historical topics. Sometimes materials in our collections are challenged by patrons or other stakeholders. ALA Office of Intellectual Freedom provides information and assistance to meet those challenges.
